BBSRC Sparking Innovation Conference 2024

About the Event
BBSRC's annual Sparking Innovation Conference brings together over 150 bioscience innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and other members of the UK bioscience innovation community. Taking place in Edinburgh City Centre on Thursday 02 May, this year’s conference will be filled with insightful sessions, networking opportunities, and an opportunity to join a pre-conference workshop and demo day.
The event will include three panel discussions and three fireside chats, which will offer a deep dive into the journey of innovation from ideation to commercial success, how to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and top tips for transforming bioscience research into successful start-ups. This year, there are also two exciting pre-conference opportunities on Wednesday 01 May:
- A three-hour, highly interactive workshop on how to commercialise your bioscience research, with hands-on activities and guided group sessions
- A demo day, where five bioscience start-ups will have the opportunity to pitch their innovative businesses to a panel of investors; followed by a networking sessions where aspiring entrepreneurs, founders and investors can chat and connect.
(Please note that applications for the pre-conference workshop and/or demo day and networking will close early, at 23:59 on Wednesday 27 March 2024. We will endeavour to enable as many aspiring entrepreneurs, founders and investors to attend and benefit from these opportunities. However, if needed, spaces will be offered on a competitive basis.)
