Project Management Course
Overview
This course provides researchers who are leading projects and/or collaborations with critical skills and tools for managing projects, resources, and teams. This course offers the most relevant and implementable ideas from business adapted for a research setting. Whether the team is small or large, project management requires a high degree of organisation and good communication skills. This course covers the programme/project cycle through the stages in detail. We begin by discussing the bidding process and preparations for work plans, resources, and staff that need to be made during the inception period. Next, we discuss the implementation phase and teach critical management skills. Finally, we discuss project monitoring and evaluation as well as programme closure, with a focus on knowledge management and legacy.
